On behalf of our renowned client with headquarters in Foetz (L) we are looking for Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d).

Your mission is to design and build innovative automated systems for the client's complex and highly automated manufacturing line.
The position will be filled directly and permanent with the client.
Our client is an innovative startup for the highly automated manufacturing of sustainable, forward-thinking and environmentally friendly solutions for the construction industry.
Your tasks
- Research, design and implement the most effective industrial equipment solution that will serve the next generation of the "Digital Microfactory"
- Engineer state of the art mechanical assemblies and sub-components of automation systems by realizing 3D layout simulation studies as well as appropriate technical drawings for manufacturing and documentation
- Research and contribute to the supplier selection process for the most suitable industrial components required
- Assist the procurement process
- Maintain appropriate CAD library and documentation
- Be integral part of product development activities, internal tests and assembly of mechanical prototypes
Your profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong industrial manufacturing proven experience, of minimum 5 years working on mechanical design matters within industrial automation (preferably in robotics application environment). Knowledge of industrial suppliers and solutions considered as a plus facilitating the daily job
- Strong mechanical engineering background including 3D CAD platforms (CATIA, SolidWorks or Inventor preferably but not restrictively)
- Experience in running FEM analysis and thoroughly reporting results considered as a plus
- Electrical and/or pneumatic knowledge and/or hands-on experience considered as a plus
- Be able to read, understand and realize technical manufacturing drawings, datasheets and written working instructions
- A proven “can do” and ”get it done” attitude
- Able to communicate with a range of personalities and job levels from Operators to Engineers
- Self-starter able to work independently as well as in the team to meet tight deadlines.
