JOB DESCRIPTION:
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in system programming, architecture & design experience in one or more mainframe infrastructure projects
Has an overall knowledge/understanding of Mainframe & Storage hardware systems
Relevant SME expertise & strong understanding of Enterprise Mainframe Architecture
Previous experience in providing / implementing mainframe service improvement plans
Strong technical knowledge of one or more mainframe subsystem technologies(Ex: z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, mainframe security, middleware, job schedulers and other third-party ISV products)
Provide thought leadership & solutions to the customer around value adds that could be provided in this engagement apart from the regular program activities viz. Legacy modernization, decommissioning applications, MIPS optimization, storage consolidation solutions, etc.
Experience in one or more Mainframe domains like z/OS, Storage, Database, Security, host networking, IMS, etc.
Exposure / Experience in Pre-Sales Activities (indicative list of activities given below)
o Contributions to RFI & RFP technical answer
o Presenting and designing technical solutions
o Performing brief Pilots and Proofs of Concept
o Provide consulting and/or SME scoping assistance to Solutions as needed
o Exposure to SOWs & pricing metrics specific to Mainframe Infrastructure service delivery
Assumes principal technical role in demonstrations, furnishing technical expertise and answering client inquiries with regard to both hardware and software
Provides mainframe consulting services to clients including identifying needs, designing, influencing and implementing proposals
Analyzing, documenting and reporting client requirements
Providing technical guidance for the one or more mainframe customers
Expert in technology solution implementation capabilities, architecture, development and design
Ability to multi-task in support of Pre-Sales & Technical Solutioning activities independently
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
